The model QC6200 four-quadrant amplifier is an economical, low form factor, fast responding speed, and position control. It is designed to control permanent magnet DC motors. The control features Full-Wave rectification and 22 kHz PWM for smooth, quiet operation. Input voltage is 24 VAC or DC, and 50/60 Hz single phase. The unit provides nominal 0 to 24 VDC output voltage. Output voltage is proportional to the error signal between input command and feedback signal. Control adjustments include current limit, variable scaling gain, and variable time accel/decel adjusts.

Applications

Typical applications include:
Conveyors, Web guidance, machine tools, packaging machines, product positioning devices, and assembly machine equipment that requires inexpensive bi-direction control.

    The Quantum Controls QC4100A single quadrant DC Motor Control is an economical, low form factor, fast response speed control for 1/50 HP to 1/4 HP DC motors.

    The pulse width modulated control is designed for offline operation of permanent magnet motors to fit a wide variety of applications for industry.

    The QC4100A is a low cost alternative for a SCR control. The benefits of PWM vs. SCR are greater torque at low speed control, faster acting current limit, slow start, higher efficiency, and low AC ripple, resulting in reduced motor heating and eliminating the need for large expensive filter capacitors.
